A lighthouse

Now you got to have a lighthouse shot while you are traveling along the gulf..i found one for now!...they are so intriguing and they have served fisherman for so long.

This is a really pretty lighthouse. Some of ours can be a little ugly. Nicely photographed.

fabulous I have never seen a red lighthouse before ours are all white

@jamesy: there are only 2 red lighthouse in Quebec and they are very old and made of wood..thanks..jamesy

A bit of history seem needed here..the lighthouse is in de la Martre.Quebec..136 feet high.built in 1876,all wood structure 2nd oldest in quebec..still in operation..keepers (Jean Gauthier-1876-1902)..(August Leclerc-1902-1912)..(Joseph Caron-1912-1947)...(Paul Roger Caron-1947-1972)..from what i found the light work now with a clock and some mercury stuff..well that aboiut it..thanks

I love lighthouses....some of them working. Most of them that are attached to homes in Maine are still serviced by private owners. I think they're glamorous :)
